Phillip “Pepo” Torrez, 63, of Fontana died April 30, 2002, at Extended Care of Montclair.
He was born Sept. 1, 1939, in Pomona and was a resident of Fontana for six years. He had been a former resident of Montclair.
He was a self-employed general contractor for 15 years. He served in the Army and Marine Corps Reserve. Mr. Torrez is survived by brother, Felix Torrez of Ontario and a sister, Alejandrina Rojas of Montclair; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. with vigil at 7 p.m. Thursday at Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona.
Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Claremont.
Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery. Todd Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
