Carolyn Sue Edwards Rowbotham, 59, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 08, 2002.

Carolyn was born on October 17, 1942 to Martin and Elizabeth Edwards in South Gate, CA. She married Gary Bryan Rowbotham on November 16, 1963 in Pomona, CA. Together they raised 7 children. They were sealed together as a family July 30, 1966 for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple.

Carolyn's lifetime leaves behind a living legacy. Those who knew her consider their lives uplifted and touched forever by her sweet spirit and genuine love. She always had a smile to share and service to give. Carolyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she served faithfully in all her callings through the years. Indeed, within Carolyn's countenance was imprinted the Relief Society motto "Charity Never Faileth". She was certainly a friend to all. Her positive attitude was one to be emulated. Carolyn loved children and teaching them. She will be remembered as a model homemaker who excelled in cooking, quilting and scrapbooking. Carolyn will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know her.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gary and 7 children: Tamara (James) Misustin, Logan, UT; Lisa (Rick) Rupe, FairOaks, CA; Bryan, LaVerne, CA; Beth (Gerald) Sanders, Santa Maria , CA; Keith (Cher), Corona, CA; Alice (Chris) Gibbons, Riverton, UT; William, LaVerne, CA. Carolyn is also survived by her Mother, Elizabeth Edwards, Mtn Home, AR; Sister, Sharon (Doug) Beechel, Mtn Home, AR; and Mother-in-law, LaVon Rowbotham, Anaheim, CA. Carolyn is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Edwards.

Funeral Services will be held at the LaVerne Stake Center on Saturday September 14, 2002 at 1:00 pm with a viewing held fro m 11:30 am-12:30 pm just prior to the services. Friends and family are welcome. Interment and Dedication of the grave will be a the LaVerne Cemetery. Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona, is in charge of arrangements.
